Love Your Smile Again
One of the most common dental complaints is crooked teeth. Few people are born with a perfectly straight smile, and over time, it’s possible for tooth misalignment to get worse. The good news is that you can join the community of satisfied Invisalign patients and learn to love your smile again. Visit Comprehensive Family Dental in St. Peters, MO, and find out whether Invisalign could transform your smile.
Good Candidates for Invisalign
Invisalign has already helped millions of adults and teens get the beautiful smiles they deserve. Will you be the next Invisalign success story? Only your dentist can determine if you’re an ideal candidate for Invisalign, but most people are. A dentist at Comprehensive Family Dental may find that you’re a good candidate if you have any of the following types of malocclusion:
- Gaps between teeth
- Crowded teeth
- Open bites
- Excessive overjets
Additional Reasons for Invisalign
Your dentist will explain the type of malocclusion you have, and discuss how Invisalign can help. Additionally, Invisalign could be a great option if the following descriptions apply to you:
- You’re frustrated with crooked teeth and ready for a change
- You’re committed to maintaining good oral health during your treatment
- You’re committed to wearing the aligners for at least 20 hours daily
- You don’t have gum disease or untreated cavities
If you do have other oral health problems, such as cavities, all you have to do is correct these issues. Then, you’ll be ready for your Invisalign treatment.
How to Get Invisalign
Let the team at Comprehensive Family Dental know that you’re ready to straighten your teeth, and we’ll get the ball rolling for you. We’ll send a digitized scan of your teeth to the Invisalign lab, where your custom aligners will be created. When your aligners are ready, you’ll come back to our office for a quick visit. During this visit, your dentist will:
- Check the fit of your aligners
- Demonstrate how to put the aligners in and take them out
- Provide guidance on caring for the aligners
- Let you know how often to switch to the next set of aligners in the series
- Answer any questions you might have
Oral Health and Invisalign Treatment
One of the great perks of Invisalign treatment is that the aligners are removable. This lets you eat whatever you want, and it allows you to maintain good oral health. Just take out the aligners, clean them as directed, and place them in their storage case. Brush and floss your teeth as normal, and then put your aligners back in.
